Hello October
No you can't be unhappy when the the day brings temperatures
in the high 60's, sunny with low humidity and dew point. Perfect
for being outside. A gentle breeze was blowing and I was walking
my grandson Ethan and grandpup Sam (the Pug). Feeling good.
Feeling happy. A sweet baby and wonderful pup will do that!!
I'm looking forward to the changing leaf colors. Shall we have a
science lesson? In the fall when the days grow shorter and the
days are dryer with less water, and cooler temperatures, the
trees will will stop making Chlorophyll. You will no longer see
the green color as it fades and the other colors in the leaves
begin to show like red/yellow/orange/tan. The stems will weaken
(no food) and so the leaves fall from the trees. Dead leaves will be
dry and crunchy. Isn't Nature wonderful? She gives us the fall
season to enjoy this awesome life process of trees.
Besides seasonal fall, cooler temperatures and a wardrobe
change, October brings us Halloween and that includes
pumpkins. Have you gotten yours yet?
Two sounds of autumn are unmistakable…
the hurrying rustle of crisp leaves blown
along the street by a gusty wind, and the
gabble of a flock of migrating geese.
